1. Lil Wayne Festival Set Interrupted by Shooting Scare One of Wayne’s first performances since releasing Tha Carter V was cut short after just a few minutes when a policeman’s taser was mistaken for a gun. A similar incident occurred when a fight between two concert-goers at Atlanta’s A3C festival turned into a stampede for the exit when someone yelled that they heard gunshots. A dozen people suffered minor injuries. Wayne tweeted his condolences, writing, “Hope everyone at A3C is safe!!”     2. Yoko Ono covers Imagine in tribute to John Lennon  Yoko Ono released a rendition of her late beau’s classic tune Imagine” in anticipation of her upcoming album Warzone. The stripped-down single was released October 9, on what would have been the former Beatle’s 78th birthday. Hear Ono, who has songwriting credits for “Imagine,” perform her new version in the lyric video above.    3. Kanye West to Meet with President Trump  Kanye West is set to meet with Jared Kushner and have lunch with Trump today. Trump expressed his approval of West’s performance on Saturday Night Live last month – during which West wore a Make America Great Again hat – via Twitter, writing “He’s leading the charge!” West and POTUS will discuss the development of West’s hometown Chicago at their meeting. 4. Sheck Wes Releases Debut Album  Harlem rapper Sheck Wes, whose hit 2017 track “Mo Bamba” reached the Billboard Hot 100 list last month, has released his first project, entitled MUDBOY. The record, which includes “Mo Bamba,” is 14 tracks of Sheck’s signature mumble rap— listen to it here on Spotify. 5. Death Cab for Cutie perform all of Transatlanticism   As part of their ongoing tour to promote their new album Thank You For Today, Washington-born Death Cab for Cutie made a stop in Chicago to celebrate the 15th anniversary of the release of their landmark 2003 album Transatlanticism. They performed the record in full at the Auditorium Theater. Watch clips from their performance below.
