Nu-soul princess and archandroid Janelle Monae hooks up with the first lady of R&B, Erykah Badu, on her new single, “Q.U.E.E.N.” It’s a sassy electro-soul bop that features some serious self-love from the two ladies (and rightfully so), and the climax of the song features a killer rap from Badu. It’s the first track lifted from Erykah Badu’s new LP, The Electric Lady, the follow-up to her 2010 opus, the ArchAndroid. The album is set to come out this September, so keep your eye on the Monae.
