In March, Scottish trio CHVRCHES visited the Radio 1 Live Lounge to cover The 1975’s “Somebody Else.” The 2016 hit is a dreamy rumination on post-breakup envy, with subdued vocals, a funky bassline, and synths galore. CHVRCHES’ version is faithful to the original, but frontwoman Lauren Mayberry’s effortless soprano gives the song a fresh feel. Listen to the cover below!
