Your weekly dose of genre-bending with your favorite WBRU artists/songs! From the genuinely good to the what-the-hell weird, we got you covered.
In May, Mumford & Sons were featured in Under the Covers for their version of the R&B song “2Shy” by Shura. Since then, they’ve continued to expand their sound and in July, they began to include Eurythmics’ “Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This)” in their setlists. However, at their tour stop in Inglewood, California, they brought out a few special guests for the cover: Blink-182 bassist Mark Hoppus, the Vaccines, and Jack Garratt. Featuring at least ten performers on stage, two tambourines, lead vocals from Marcus Mumford, and vocal support from Hoppus and the Vaccines’ Justin Young, the cover is definitely worth a watch.
