Your weekly dose of genre-bending with your favorite WBRU artists/songs! From the genuinely good to the what-the-hell weird, we got you covered.

In April, the Wombats released their third album, Glitterbug, played a show at the Met (with 2015 Summer Concert Series headliners Life in Film), and literally hugged trees at Roger Williams Park in honor of Earth Day. They also released a cover of Carly Rae Jepsen’s “I Really Like You,” whose music video stars Tom Hanks (Yes, really). Slowing the track down just a bit, the Wombats created a version of the song that will make you forget that you’re singing along to the same artist who gave us (the infamous) “Call Me Maybe” in 2012.
