Your weekly dose of genre-bending with your favorite WBRU artists/songs! From the genuinely good to the what-the-hell weird, we got you covered.

This past week, Mumford & Sons continued their transformation in sound by covering the R&B track, “2Shy,” by British singer and songwriter Shura. With details about the band’s ventures into hip hop having recently surfaced, the song choice makes sense. Even though the influence of their new collaborator 88-Keys isn’t apparent in the cover, Mumford & Sons maintained their new electric sound in its arrangement, making the track sound like it would fit perfectly on Wilder Mind, which comes out on May 4.
