Your weekly dose of genre-bending with your favorite WBRU artists/songs! From the genuinely good to the what-the-hell weird, we got you covered.

Royal Blood made their mark last year with their frantic and energetic hit “Figure It Out,” which grabbed the #17 spot in your Top 95 Songs of 2014. However, for their cover of Cold War Kids’ “Hang Me Up to Dry,” the British duo, composed of vocalist and bassist Mike Kerr and drummer Ben Thatcher, went acoustic. Kerr’s vocals help maintain the notable intensity of the original track and upon our listen of Royal Blood’s rendition, we couldn’t help but feel some nostalgia for the warm weather (seriously, when will this winter end?) and good music that came with Cold War Kids’ 2013 Summer Concert Series show.
