Best of Exposure: July 14-17 Fenech Soler- Last Forever This British electro-pop band knows how to make a good summer song. They also happen to endorse waking up to turn up. Their new mixtape July Mornings, is out now. Perfect for, well… mornings this month! SKATERS- Miss Teen Massachusetts This band was founded after the members met at a house party. Their debut album, Manhattan, is all about stories they heard as bartenders. They have had to defend this music video does not actually endorse stalking… C’mon you know you want to listen. Interpol- All The Rage Back Home Spanish for “The Painter” and an anagram for “Interpol,” El Pintor is the new Interpol album we’ve been waiting four years for. The hiatus was partially due to former bassist, Carlos Denger’s, leave from the band. Catch them on tour when they play Boston’s House of Blues on November 21st and get the album when it comes out stateside on September 9th. Army Navy- Crushed Like The Car They’re not the Army Band; they’re not the Navy Band… They’re something a little less patriotic but all their own. New album, The Wilderness Inside, came out on July 15th, which sounds a little more suited for the Marines. Wye Oak- Before I attached a live version to the playlist because their ability to recreate the studio sound in real time is pretty damn impressive. Check out the mastered version here to compare. Jungle- Busy Earnin’ We shall add this to the list of bands who have gone full 80s. See also: Broken Bells’ After the Disco and Daft Punk’s Random Access Memories. Honorable mention: Chromeo and Robyn. Groovy! Bleachers ft. Grimes- Take Me Away Bleachers new album Strange Desire is here! It’s a very different sound than the single “I Wanna Get Better” led me to expect, but it’s a good sound. Check out Bleachers hanging out at WBRU here. Speaking of new sounds… can we talk about how divergently pop Grimes went with her latest single, “Go”? Hooray For Earth- Keys Oh, you haven’t heard of them? That’s because they’re pretty indie. Just how indie are they you ask? They’re playing a show at the Institute for Contemporary Art in Boston on August 22nd. Good luck figuring out what to wear to that. Fink- Hard Believer  “Hard Believer” is the title track off Fink’s 2014 album, and you can get it for free on his website. Fink, the noun, is defined as “an unpleasant or contemptible person.” Well, free music makes him hardly a fink at all. Lolawolf- Drive This band is headed by Zoë Kravitz, as in daughter of musician Lenny Kravitz and actress Lisa Bonet. Not to be outdone by her talented parents, Zoë has also decided to throw acting into her mix of occupations, most recently starring in X-Men: First Class and Divergent. Oh she’s also a model? Casual.   Check out last week’s Best of Exposure HERE! There’s a new Best Of every Friday; email exposure@wbru.com to tell us what we missed!

Don’t worry, Jungle. I heart the 80s too
