Roz and the Rice Cakes

2012 Rock Hunt winner Roz and the Rice Cakes made an in-studio visit last week to chat with DJ Ava and announce the release of their new album “Need to Feed.” Band members Roz Raskin, Casey Belisle, and Justin Foster recommend “The Birds,” the first song on the album, saying that it’s their favorite song on the album. This is the band’s second full-length album. Some things the band can’t tour without? “A van, a peanut butter jar filled with fluff, gas, the tour schedule, an internet hot spot, Netflix…Snacks are essential, and money.” How do they stay humble? “Any time they get cocky (Casey) beat(s) the (crap) out of them.” “I guess the good times are better than the bad times—or more prevalent,” says Roz. “Learn stuff and try to grow from each experience.” Check out pictures from their session below.
