The 2013 360 Emancipation Day Celebration is going down this Sunday!  Come out to Roger Williams Park from noon till dusk at the Temple to Music on August 4th for a day filled with family and friends as we celebrate the unity and equality of our wonderful community.   The event is free and open to the public, and as always, the 360 Emancipation Day Celebration is 100% family friendly.  Bring the whole family for the Kid’s Zone where they can enjoy some great games and activities.  And, of course, stop by the 360 WBRU tent to grab some great gear and meet the voices behind 360.  While you’re there, enter for a chance to win tickets to see Drake, Miguel and Future at the TD Garden in Boston, MA on October 30!   Featuring Gospel, R&B, Spoken Word, Holy Hip-Hop, Reggae, Jazz, Steppers and Storytellers, this celebration will definitely bring the music (and feature 360’s own DJ Spin).  In addition, vendors and sponsors will be on-site selling a variety of ethnic foods and items.   This year’s theme, The Journey Continues, reminds us that while much has been accomplished on the road to equality and justice, we must continue to strengthen our community across color lines by engaging in our many shared cultures.   More information can be found at www.emancipationdayri.com.   For entertainment information, contact Terrell Osborne at (401) 556-8662 or ozmusicone@aol.com.
