360 @ The 2013 East Providence HeritageFest

Join WBRU 360, East Providence Heritage Days, and members from all over the community at the 33rd annual East Providence HeritageFest this July! The event will be taking place at Pierce Field and Stadium, located at 201 Mercer Street in East Providence and will feature three days of music, food, crafts and fun from July 19-21.  It opens at 6 p.m. on Friday and 3 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, running until 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday nights and 10:30 p.m on Sunday. Tickets are available at ticketweb.com and are $5.00 on Friday and $10.00 on Saturday.  BUT, listen to 360 this Sunday for your chance to win tickets all day!!!  Children 12 and under are free every day with an adult.  Once you’ve got those tickets, stop by the WBRU 360 tent on Saturday from 3 – 7, we’ll send out the BRU Crew so you can play games, win great prizes and meet some of your favorite 360 DJs! The festival will feature jazz, funk, afro-pop, rock and latin music, so there’s something for everyone!  Don’t miss out on Unforgettable Fire, headlining the festival on Saturday and Beginnings, headlining Sunday’s show, as well as other musical acts throughout the weekend. Music isn’t all the HeritageFest has to offer; it will also include the travelling exhibit “Roll Out the Black,” bringing black history and memorabilia right to your backyard.  The Fanelli Midway is sure to be a hit, as are the classic cars, and ethnic foods, crafts and more will be available for purchase all day!
