Originating in San Diego, California, the band Delta Spirit has rocked out across the world in places like Paris, France. The band combines unique instruments such as trash can lids and orchestral bass drums to create an outstanding performance. Delta Spirit has also appeared on several television shows including Late Night with Conan O’Brien, and Last Call with Carson Daly. In April, 2011 they played in the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in Indio, California. With their third full-length album on its way, WBRU is excited to have them from California to perform this summer!
The Tower and The Fool initially started as a songwriting project between friends Alex Correia and Chris Rosenquest. As the recording of the CD drew near, the idea of adding additional musicians to fill out the recorded songs interested the duo.
To fill out the line up, Correia and Rosenquest added the drumming of their producer/friend Mike Poorman (ex-Hot Rod Circuit), Bryan Donahue on bass, Zac Clark on keys, and long time friend Chris Capaldi on lead and slide guitars. Capaldi was featured prominently on Rosenquest’s first recorded solo EP.
What happened after the recording seemed like a natural step to take for the duo. After hearing the songs with their full instrumentation, Correia and Rosenquest decided to permanently add the additional line up, making The Tower and The Fool a full time band.
Formed in the summer of 2010, The Silks have burst onto the country blues scene in New England with ferocity and enthusiasm. Front-man and songwriter Tyler- James Kelly has assembled musicians with resumes consisting of The Midnight Creeps (Jonas Parmalee), and Electric Service (Matt Donnelly) blending it into a sound that is all their own. With compliments that vary from drawing comparisons to The Rolling Stones in style and songwriting to a soundman shouting “that’s the most fun I’ve ever had!” after a show, The Silks have garnered a reputation as a band that everyone found themselves wanting to see overnight.
The Silks have had the privilege of sharing the stage with The Cave Singers, Brown Bird, The Devil Makes Three, and The Agents.

White Rabbits is an indie rock band which formed in Columbia, Missouri, United States in 2004. The band consists of Greg Roberts (vocals, guitar), Steve Patterson (vocals, piano), Alex Even (guitar, vocals), Brian Betancourt (bass), Matt “The Duck” Clark (drums) and Jamie Levinson (drums). The band has released two albums, “Fort Nightly” (2007) and “It’s Frightening” (2009). White Rabbits came to New York from the midwest. For their first record, they managed to catch the attention of Say Hey Records and producer Chris Zane (Shy Child, Asobi Seksu, Les Savy Fav). Their second album, “It’s Frightening,” was produced by Britt Daniel (Spoon). Added to their arsenal are 3 part vocal harmonies that texture the album throughout. White Rabbits even showcase the occasional group chant, best exampled on Fort Nightly’s opening track “Kid On My Shoulders”. White Rabbits’ penchant for more tropical excursions such as on “I Used To Complain Now I Don’t”, featuring the horns of Beirut’s (Jon Natchez), are, at times, reminiscent of The Specials or Madness.
