Last Thursday, Sleeper Agent and fun. performed at Lupo’s in Providence.  A fantastic night was had by all.  Sleeper Agent opened; their vocalist Alex Kandel did a fantastic job.  They totally rocked their most popular songs, “Get Burned” and “Get it Daddy”.  Fun. was epic.  Hailing from New York, this was one stop on their big debut Their more electronic songs were amazing live, lead singer Nate Ruess seriously nailed every song.  Here’s the setlist: 1. Some Nights 2. Walking the Dog 3. All Alone 4. Barlights 5. Why Am I the One 6. The Gambler 7. Be Calm 8. At Least I’m Not as Sad 9. All the Pretty Girls 10. We Are Young 11. Carry On Opening with “Some Nights”-good call.  The intense, amazing energy within that band as a whole totally came through, and the crowd really reciprocated.  They had a great mix of songs from their past two albums, steering more toward their upbeat songs rather than the harder more intense sounds.  Of course the crowd went wild for “We Are Young,” and others from their most recent album, Some Nights, but one of my personal favorite moments was when in the middle they slowed things down for an acoustic “The Gambler,” off their album Aim and Ignite. Here’s a cool video of “Be Calm”: They had three encore songs, and went out with a bang.  All in all, the night was a total blast.
