This week, the government came back! But we were never worried right? We were like Obama through it all. Calm, and with swagger.

“Oh wait? You actually thought I was serious about the whole ‘good chance of default’ thing?”

Only after the dust cleared did I truly realize why there were two great songs titled ‘Default’ released in the past two years. Surely not a coincidence. Just kidding. Anyway, onto this week!   Mellow Monday – 10/14 The National – Graceless Smith Westerns – Varsity Tired Pony – All Things All at Once Kodaline – All I Want Washed Out – It All Feels Right Nine Inch Nails – Find My Way Born Ruffians – Needle PYYRAMIDS – Paper Doll Light Heat – And the Birds… Lord Huron – Time to Run Laura Marling – Where Can I Go? Ty Segall – Sleeper   Time Travel Tuesday – 10/15 While they still haven’t given us a name for their upcoming 3rd album as of yet, The Wombats have released the first single, which kicks us off. Pearl Jam, having just released their 10th album, Lightning Bolt, stands as the most ambitions TTT artist to date. I did my best, including their MTV Unplugged performance and even throwing in Temple of the Dog, the band whose existence more or less made Pearl Jam possible. The album from which each song comes is in the parentheses. The Wombats – Your Body Is a Weapon (Untitled 3rd Album) The Wombats – Kill the Director (A Guide to Love, Loss & Desperation) The Wombats – Moving to New York (A Guide to Love, Loss & Desperation) The Wombats – Let’s Dance to Joy Division (A Guide to Love, Loss & Desperation) The Wombats – Techno Fan (This Modern Glitch) The Wombats – Jump Into the Fog (This Modern Glitch) The Wombats – Tokyo (Vampires & Wolves) (This Modern Glitch)

To this day, still the best Eddie Vedder impression. If you haven’t seen Adam Sandler as Opera Man, watch it here.

Pearl Jam – Let the Records Play (Lightning Bolt) Temple of the Dog – Hunger Strike (Temple of the Dog) Pearl Jam – Porch (MTV Unplugged) (Ten) Pearl Jam – Dissident (Vs.) Pearl Jam – Hail, Hail (No Code) Pearl Jam – Given to Fly (Yield) Pearl Jam – The End (Backspacer)   Wacky Wednesday – 10/16 Disclosure – White Noise Gemini Club – Sparklers Cut Copy – We Are Explorers Polica – Chain My Name Delorean – Destitute Time Daughn Gibson – Kissin on the Blacktop Hanni El Khatib – Family MGMT – Your Life is a Lie Sleigh Bells – Young Legends The Thermals – The Sunset J Roddy Walston and the Business – Heavy Bells Wolf & Cub – Salao The Front Bottoms – Skeleton   Themed Thursday – 10/17 The theme for today: Ava! I had to meet up with somebody in New York, so Ava, one of our newest additions to the BRU Crew, took over Exposure duties for Thursday. Here’s her great list.
